To continue to guarantee high-quality service in light of ever-increasing demand, Sud-Fresh has begun expanding its cross-dock facility in Rhisnes. The goal of this expansion? To increase capacity so that 600 additional pallets can be received each night, thereby meeting the ever-increasing demand for logistics services.
At Sud-Fresh, we never stand still. Our mission is clear: to offer our customers the best service and quality, no matter the circumstances. In late 2024, during the peak period in December, we realized we were reaching our limits. Demand was high, and although our team was giving it their all, we realized that we needed additional space to continue meeting the growing demand.
That is why we have decided to immediately expand our existing cross-dock capacity. We have created space for 600 additional pallets per night, bringing our total groupage capacity to 3,600 pallets per 24 hours. This represents an increase of approximately 25% compared to our previous capacity—a crucial step toward continuing to guarantee the quality of our services.
Immediate action, forward-looking vision
“We don’t want to wait until our new building is ready in 2026 to better serve our customers. Sud-Fresh stands for progress, and we’re already putting that mindset into action,” says CEO Vincent Gaillard.
This expansion allows us to operate with even greater flexibility and better respond to seasonal peaks, such as the busy Easter and end-of-year periods. By being able to process more pallets in our cross-dock, we optimize the logistics flow and strengthen our position as a reliable logistics partner for our customers.
But we’re also looking further ahead. In mid-2025, we will begin construction on a brand-new logistics complex, which will not only further increase our capacity but also allow us to further optimize the existing cross-dock and install additional loading and unloading docks to ensure even more efficient operations. This new facility, which will be operational in 2026, will play a fundamental role in the continued growth of Sud-Fresh and its customers.
