Namur, December 18, 2024 – On Wednesday, December 18, Sud-Fresh, a leading Belgian company in the logistics and transportation of temperature-sensitive food products, opened its doors to about thirty young people participating in the Reboot4You program. This was an excellent opportunity for the participants to learn about careers in the logistics and transportation sector and discover new career prospects.
An Inspiring Partnership
Reboot4You is an ambitious initiative by the Belgian Army that aims to offer young people new opportunities in the job market. Sud-Fresh, based in Namur, plays an active role in this by opening its facilities to participants and introducing them to the dynamic and essential transportation and logistics sector.
Vincent Gaillard, CEO of Sud-Fresh, emphasizes the importance of this partnership:
“We strongly believe in inspiring and guiding young people and showing them the opportunities the job market has to offer. By sharing our passion for logistics and transportation today, we hope to be a source of inspiration for them. We hope this experience will be a first step toward a promising future in which they can develop their talents.”
A valuable experience
During the day, the young people—under the guidance of their military mentors and Sud-Fresh staff—participated in a structured program consisting of four interactive workshops:
- Jobs in the Logistics Chain: An Insight into the Heart of Logistics Operations.
- Support Services: Explained through video presentations and guided tours.
- Warehouse Operations and Refrigeration Systems: A Practical Look at the Daily Logistics Flow.
- Maintenance and infrastructure, including demonstrations in the garage and the opportunity to sit inside a truck.
Future Prospects in Logistics
This event, which featured a mix of practical workshops and opportunities for discussion, underscores Sud-Fresh’s commitment to supporting young people as they find their way into the job market. We are grateful to have been able to contribute to what we hope will be a turning point for the participants and will motivate them to pursue a promising career in the logistics and transportation sector.
